Jan. 10th, 2006 - After a two-year absence from the Daytona 500, Bill Elliott posted the fastest lap of the day in pre-season testing. Driving the No. 36 MB2 Motorsports Chevy, Elliott circled the 2.5-mile track in 48.072 seconds with a speed of 187.219 mph.
