William Clyde Elliott II, better known as Chase Elliott, was named after his father and NASCAR legend, Bill Elliott. Long before he was born, Chase's grandfather, George Elliott, brought his three sons - Ernie, Dan and Bill - to race tracks partly to spend time together and partly to keep them occupied and out
of trouble. It soon became apparent that George's youngest son, Bill, knew how to get around these race tracks in record setting fashion. Racing and the Elliott family have been "tradition" ever since.

· Bill started working with Chase and his nephew Trey in 2006.
· 2006 was Chase's first full summer of racing. That's when he entered the Colorado Sprint Championships in the Mini Max and 80cc Shifter Kart Series at 10 years old. Chase won five races and five poles in the Mini Max to capture the series' State Championship that summer. In the 80cc Shifter Division, Chase won one race and three poles and finished in an impressive third place while competing against the older children. These races marked his first ever on asphalt.
· Chase had raced on various dirt tracks in Northern Georgia in 2005, however not consistently or for any title. But he enjoys the feel of the dirt and sliding the car around. This is probably a good indication as to why he won the only two asphalt races that he has ever run in the rain with rain tires.
· Chase will be racing with his father's famous No. 9.
· Primary sponsor is ABF.
· Associate sponsors include the Dawsonville Pool Room, the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame and Aaron's.
· Chase is an honor student and knows that in order to race he must keep excellent grades.
· This year, Chase has already raced in two Colorado state sprint championship races; one each in the Mini Max and 80cc Shifter Series. He won both events.
· After Chase's first two races in the INEX series he finished sixth out of 19 cars on March 16, 2007, and then third out of 11 cars on April 6, 2007.
· Chase will be running the Thursday Thunder Series at the Atlanta Motor Speedway for points beginning May 31, 2007 and going through August 2, 2007.
· Chase will also be racing a limited number of events in the Summer Shootout series at Lowes Motor Speedway and possibly at Cordele Speedway. |
