"I started playing baseball at age four and played until my junior year of high school. I injured my knee during my junior year of baseball, and decided I wanted to try something new, being racing of course. I had always been interested in racing and loved watching it, which I'm sure most of that came from always watching my Uncle Bill race in the Nextel Cup Series. Any time I could get to the track to watch him race and just be around everything there, I would jump on it as fast as I could. I enjoy being at the track just because you get a better feeling of the sport. The atmosphere at any race is just amazing.
I began racing high performance karts in Colorado on the Colorado Sprint Championship tour last year. In my rookie season I finished second in my class with one win and three second place finishes in a nine race schedule. I learned a lot from last year and met a ton of great people. The camaraderie in karting last year was great. This year it's on to bigger and better things where I am racing in the Legends series in the semi-pro class, driving a 5/8 scale 1934 Ford Coupe."
